How can we do all this?

There are two keys to being able to supply all of the needs outlined:

1. The fact find and who does this. The initial visit to the company is nearly always done by Andy Miller, Managing Director of Sig Biz Advisors. Andy has worked for big and small companies and also owned a number of companies before Sig Biz Advisors. His experience and specialist training make him good at looking at a business as a whole and identifying the actions to improve profitability or turn a company around from loss-making.
2. An expert for the task. Where a company requires work on direction, planning, marketing and some aspects of sales then, work-load permitting, Andy will undertake the work himself. If the work identified needs specialist help in other areas then Andy will bring in, and guarantee the work of, such a specialist.

A number of companies we meet have initial concerns about such an approach. They feel outsourcing by Sig Biz Advisors for cerain specialists may brings about a lack of control, or indicates that Sig Biz Advisors cannot be good if they need to bring in outside specialists.

We argue that this approach is actually a strength! The co-ordinator, often Andy, still co-ordinates and makes sure the job is completed on time, correctly, and to the agreed budget. Many firms of advisors claim that their few staff are specialists at everything. We do not try to be specialists at everything. Instead we do claim to know, or to be able to find specialists in any field required.
